Hats off to OPH. GREAT job, OPH, for tackling the issue head-on. Not an easy task to turn things around when a report presented to the board said: “every racialised staff member shared multiple occurrences of incidental and systemic racism and discrimination…Further, racialised staff highlighted the lack of representation within leadership, challenges in being promoted due to bias and a lack of transparency, and the risks of being negatively labelled when contemplating reporting instances of racism and discrimination.”
Getting such a report to the board is an outstanding achievement in itself, let alone the steps taken to address the issue.
